Irresistible burgers that combine juicy beef patties with melted mozzarella and zesty marinara sauce for a pizza experience on a bun.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns (toasted)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices (optional)
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional)
  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix well and form into 4 patties.
  2. Cook patties in a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side until desired doneness is reached.
  3. Toast the hamburger buns cut-side down until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Assemble the burgers by placing patties on buns, adding marinara sauce, and sprinkling mozzarella cheese on top.
  5. Add desired toppings like pepperoni, onions, or bell peppers.
  6. Cover with a lid for 1-2 minutes to melt the cheese.
  7. Top with the other half of the toasted bun and garnish before serving.

Notes
