  • 2 tablespoons Ground Crayfish Adds savory texture and umami flavor.
  • 2 pieces Seasoning Cubes Enhances the dish with complexity.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Essential for balancing flavors.
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper Adds a gentle kick.
  • 4 cups Water Used to achieve the desired soup consistency.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Wash and slice the okra into thin pieces.
  • Boil your beef or chicken in a pot until tender.
  • Add the palm oil and sliced onions to the pot and sauté for a few minutes.
  • Stir in the sliced okra, ground crayfish, seasoning cubes, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Pour in enough water to achieve your desired consistency and cook for 10-15 minutes on medium heat.
  • Serve hot with fufu or rice.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a dash of locust bean (iru). Substitute the meat with goat meat or use more vegetables for a vegetarian option. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge, or freeze for longer storage.
