Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and generously grease a donut pan with butter or cooking spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the well of the dry ingredients and gently fold them together until just combined.

Baking

  • Transfer the batter into a piping bag or ziplock bag with one corner cut off.
  • Pipe the batter into the greased donut pan, filling each cavity about three-quarters full.
  • Bake for 16-18 minutes or until golden brown and spring back when lightly touched.
  • Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Glazing

  • Mash 1/2 cup of fresh blueberries and strain through a fine-mesh sieve to extract the juice.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk the powdered sugar and blueberry juice until smooth.

  • Immediately sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over the glaze, pressing fresh blueberries on top.
  • Let the glaze set for about 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure ingredients like eggs and milk are at room temperature. Don't overmix the batter; a few lumps are desirable. You may also add lemon zest for added flavor.
