Ingredients

Dough and Coating Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough Pre-made for ease.
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted) For brushing the breadsticks.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese For a savory crunch.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese For gooey stringiness.
  • All-purpose flour (for dusting) A dash to prevent sticking.

Serving Ingredients

  • 1 cup marinara sauce For dipping.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare two baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  • Divide the pizza dough into ten equal portions and roll each into an 8-inch long rope, making the ends thicker to resemble bones.
  • Using kitchen scissors, make two small cuts at each end of the dough ropes to create the bone shape. Gently stretch these pieces apart.

Baking

  • Brush the melted butter over each breadstick and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on each breadstick. Return to the oven for an additional 5 to 7 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  • Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

For healthier options, consider whole wheat pizza dough or dairy-free cheese. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
