Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 2 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt & pepper
  • Optional Crispy breaded chicken For extra crunch

For the Sandwich

  • 2-4 pieces sandwich rolls (hoagie buns, ciabatta, or brioche)
  • ½ cup Caesar dressing Store-bought or homemade
  • cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • ¼ cup shaved or shredded Parmesan cheese
  • Optional Sliced tomatoes, red onion, or crispy bacon For extra toppings
  • to taste Butter or garlic butter For toasting the bread

Instructions

Preparation

  • Drizzle the chicken breasts with olive oil, then generously sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Massage those flavors in.
  • Grill or pan-sear the chicken over medium-high heat for about 5-6 minutes on each side until cooked through with an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly.
  • Butter your sandwich rolls and toast them in a skillet or oven until golden brown.
  • Generously spread Caesar dressing on both sides of each roll.
  • Layer with chopped romaine lettuce, sliced chicken, and a shower of Parmesan cheese.
  • Top with any additional ingredients like sliced tomatoes, crispy bacon, or red onions if desired.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature, and offer extra Caesar dressing for dipping.
