Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the chicken into thin strips or bite-sized pieces.
  • In a bowl, marinate the chicken with lime juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, honey, and a pinch of chili flakes. Let sit for at least 15 minutes.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and cook the marinated chicken for about 5 to 7 minutes, until golden brown and fully cooked.
  • Remove the chicken from heat and let it rest for a few moments.
  • Dice the mango, slice the bell pepper, and chop the fresh herbs.
  • Rinse and separate the butter lettuce leaves, patting them dry.

Assembly

  • Place a butter lettuce leaf flat on a plate and spoon a generous amount of cooked chicken onto the leaf.
  • Top with diced mango, sliced red bell peppers, and chopped fresh herbs.
  • Drizzle extra lime juice or a light soy-honey dressing over each wrap. Add sriracha or chili flakes if desired.

Notes

Allow chicken to marinate for deeper flavor. Use fresh ingredients for best results. Ensure lettuce leaves are dry to prevent sogginess.
