Ingredients

For the Bars

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted Adds richness

Cinnamon Swirl

  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Cream Cheese Glaze

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2–3 tablespoons milk Adjust for desired consistency

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
  • Stir in the eggs and vanilla extract.
  • Add the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon and mix until just combined.

Assembly

  • Spread ¾ of the batter into the prepared pan.
  • In a small bowl, combine the swirl ingredients: melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon, and drizzle over the batter.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the remaining batter over the swirl layer and gently swirl with a knife.

Baking

  • Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and set.
  • Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan.

Glazing

  • Mix the cream cheese glaze ingredients until smooth and pourable, then drizzle over the cooled bars.
  • Chill slightly before slicing for cleaner cuts.

Notes

Store at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerate for one week. Bars can be frozen for up to three months.
