Ingredients

For the Garlic Chicken

  • 1 lb cooked, shredded or chopped chicken Rotisserie works great
  • 2 tbsp butter For sautéing
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt & pepper
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes Optional, for a spicy kick

For the Cheese Blend

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese or garlic herb spreadable cheese (like Boursin or Alouette)

For the Wraps

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 tbsp mayo or garlic aioli Optional, for spread
  • ½ cup baby spinach or arugula Optional for freshness
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter For pan-searing

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about a minute.
  • Toss in the shredded chicken, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Stir until warm and coated in garlic butter.
  • Remove the skillet from heat.
  • Spread mayo or garlic aioli inside each tortilla if desired.
  • Layer with a generous amount of the cheese mixture, then spoon the warm garlic chicken on top.
  • If desired, sprinkle greens across the filling before rolling burrito-style, tucking in the sides.

Cooking

  • Heat a clean skillet over medium heat with a bit of butter or oil.
  • Place wraps seam-side down and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy, with melted cheese inside.
  • Slice in half and serve warm.

Notes

Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to three days or frozen. Reheat in a skillet or microwave.
