Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry into a square or circle large enough to wrap the Brie.
  • Optionally slice off the top rind of the Brie for a creamier texture.

Assembly

  • Place the Brie in the center of the pastry. Spread cranberry sauce over the Brie and sprinkle with chopped pecans. Drizzle with honey if using.
  • Fold the pastry edges over the Brie, pressing gently to seal, and trim excess pastry.

Baking

  • Whisk together the egg and water, and brush the mixture over the pastry.
  • Optionally chill the wrapped Brie in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes.
  • Bake the wrapped Brie for 30–40 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  • Let cool for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Serving

  • Garnish with rosemary, extra cranberry sauce, and a sprinkle of pecans. Serve warm with crackers or sliced baguette.

Notes

You can prepare the wrapped Brie ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to bake. Feel free to experiment with additional ingredients like apples or cinnamon for more flavor.
