  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed For a flaky, golden wrapping.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it is about ¼ inch thick.
  • Cut the pastry into a square large enough to completely envelop the Brie wheel—approximately 10 inches.
  • Place the Brie wheel in the center of the pastry square.
  • Spoon cranberry sauce generously on top of the Brie.
  • Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the cranberry sauce.

Assembly and Baking

  • Fold the corners of the puff pastry over the Brie, tucking them in to create a sealed package.
  • Brush the outer layer of the puff pastry with the beaten egg.
  • Place the wrapped Brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  • Allow to cool for about 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Great for entertaining and can be made ahead of time.
