Ingredients

For the Shrimp

  • 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined (tail on or off)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika or smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

For the Coating

  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs (or gluten-free option)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tsp dried)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or foil.
  • Pat your shrimp dry with paper towels.
  • In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  • In a small bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and parsley.
  • Coat each shrimp by pressing it into the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Place the shrimp in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

Cooking

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the shrimp are cooked through and the coating is golden and crispy.
  • If desired, broil for the last 1–2 minutes for extra crunch, watching carefully to avoid burning.
  • Serve warm with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For healthier alternatives, consider low-sugar sauces, gluten-free panko, and dairy-free cheese.
