Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pieces chicken breasts juicy and tender
  • 1 cup heavy cream rich and smooth
  • 1/2 cup Irish whiskey flavorful and aromatic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for sautéing
  • 2 cloves garlic minced, fragrant and savory
  • to taste Salt and pepper to enhance flavors
  • to taste Chopped parsley for garnish, fresh and vibrant

Instructions

Preparation

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Ensure the oil is hot enough to provide that perfect sear on the chicken.
  • Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper. Place them carefully in the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes on each side. Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, toss in the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant; this should take about a minute.
  • Carefully add the Irish whiskey, allowing it to simmer until slightly reduced, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and let it come to a gentle simmer, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over it, and let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For added depth of flavor, consider marinating the chicken in olive oil, minced garlic, and herbs for an hour before cooking. For extra heat, a pinch of red pepper flakes can be added to the sauce. Substitute half of the heavy cream with chicken broth for a lighter version.
