Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large measuring cup, whisk together all the ingredients—starting with the Greek yogurt.
  • Add the sugar, followed by the lemon juice and lemon zest. If using, add turmeric or food coloring.
  • Whisk until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Churning

  • If you have an ice cream maker, pour the mixture directly into the chilled machine and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • If you don’t have an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into ice cube trays and freeze until solid.
  • Once frozen, allow it to thaw slightly, then blend the cubes in a food processor or blender until smooth.

Serving

  • Optionally, garnish with extra lemon zest or fresh mint leaves.
