  • Stir in the minced garlic and Cajun seasoning, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the rinsed rice, stirring well to coat with the seasoning, sausage drippings, and oil.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a low boil.
  • Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let it simmer for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
