  • 400 g canned chickpeas ready to release their nutty flavor
  • 2 medium ripe avocados bursting with creamy richness
  • ½ medium red onion adding a zesty crunch
  • 1 medium bell pepper providing a sweet, juicy bite
  • 1 small jalapeño bringing the heat
  • 2 tbsp lime juice adding a refreshing zing
  • 4 large tortillas the perfect vessel for the filling

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by mashing the ripe avocados in a mixing bowl until they reach a smooth consistency.
  • Add in the canned chickpeas, mashing them slightly or leaving them whole as desired.
  • Follow with finely diced red onion, chopped bell pepper, diced jalapeño, lime juice, and spices (chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper). Stir until well combined.
  • Warm the tortillas in a skillet or microwave for a few seconds to make them easier to fold.
  • Divide the spicy filling among the warmed tortillas.
  • Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it tightly to secure the fillings inside.
  • Optionally cut the wraps in half for serving, and enjoy immediately for the best taste.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a dash of hot sauce or your favorite salsa to the avocado mash. Consider adding fresh cucumber or shredded carrots for additional crunch.
